Our Team Philosophy: CPR
The best way to succeed and enjoy your experience with Club Leon Los Angeles is by practicing CPR:
- Communication – Keep coaches informed about attendance, availability, and any concerns.
- Participation – Attend practices, games, and team activities consistently.
- Respect – Show respect for teammates, coaches, referees, opponents, and the game.
These three values are the foundation of our program.

Games
League games are typically played on Saturdays and Sundays.
Game schedules are generally released on Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings and are posted on TeamSnap, where families can also find practice schedules, field locations, and other important team updates.
Participation
Players are expected to actively participate in practices, league games, tournaments, and friendly matches whenever available.
Consistent participation helps players develop individually while contributing to the success of the team. Players who are inactive for an extended period without communication may be removed from the roster. This expectation applies to both Club Leon players and guest/non-club players.
Playing Time
Playing time is earned, not guaranteed.
Several factors are considered when determining playing time, including:
- Attendance
- Commitment
- Effort during training
- Communication
- Team attitude
- Skill level
- Tactical needs of the game
Our goal is to develop every player while also preparing the team to compete at its highest level.
Friendly Games
Friendly matches provide valuable opportunities for additional development and playing experience.
Players who want to improve, gain confidence, or stay match-ready are strongly encouraged to participate whenever possible.
The more a player competes, the more opportunities they have to develop. Growth happens on the field—not from sitting on the bench.
